25 Sports High School Saturday - March 29, 2025- Illinois Top Times closes out with 2A and 3A events. Plus, U-High and Eureka Baseball, and Metamora Softball earn weekend victories.
(25News Now) - Day 2 of Illinois Top Times closed out today with all-day events for 2A and 3A Schools.
In 2A, Metamora’s Jaiduan Crawford set a sizzling title time of 6.73 seconds in the 60-meter dash. In the Long Jump, it was Limestone’s Kamar Sanders jumping to a state title at 22 feet, 8 inches.
Morton’s Christian Harris wins the 1600 m by a half second at 4 minutes, 15 seconds, while U-High’s distance star Zoe Carter wins the 3200 m, also by a half second at 10 minutes, 47 seconds.
It was an all-Central Illinois in the 3A Shot put. Normal Community’s Marco Reynolds wins it for the 2nd straight year on her final throw at 13 meters flat. Washington’s Joe Atkins sets the new best in state mark this year at 18.63 meters with his win today.
Also in 3A, Normal West’s Cody Muhlbauer finished 1st in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.88 seconds. Normal Community finished 1-2 in the 800 m, thanks to Drew Patterson and AJ Ince.
In Baseball, Normal U-High beat Washington in a doubleheader, and Eureka beat Lincoln 8-0. In Softball, Metamora outlasted Olympia 2-0.
